Midwife Mentoring
Every midwife, and especially a new one, deserves a midwife to call.
What we do
In a hospital with low birth numbers, a new midwife often has no other midwife nearby. Physician colleagues matter, but a midwife also needs a non-physician mentor: someone who practices midwifery herself and can think a case, a decision or a hard day through with her. Our senior midwife is that mentor. Through regular sessions and calls between them, she supports a new midwife through the first year and beyond, so the midwife grows in judgment, stays, and keeps your program going.
Mentoring supports a midwife’s judgment and growth. It does not replace your hospital’s consult and transfer pathways or physician backup.
What you receive
